MUNCH People
These Men and Women are behind the organisation of MUNCH 9. Each of their profiles will tell you a little about them, as well as their picture so you can see who we all are.
James Bingham
Secretary General
Having worked his way up from a lowly journalist James Bingham now sits as Joint Secretary General and rightly so too. His tireless work, great talent and crazy hair leave us in no doubt that this man has everything it takes to be a great Secretary General.
Ollie Johnson
Secretary General
Anybody who has been involved in MUNCH can tell you what an unforgettable character Ollie Johnson is. Wether it's his showman speeches or his vast political knowledge, Ollie is one of Cheadle Hulme's greatest weapons.
Philippe Kirschen
Deputy Secretary General & President of General Assembly
Third in command, Philippe will be fundamental in the organization of this year's MUNCH. Philippe is one of the most modest people in MUN despite his impressive success in the organization. His contributions have been extremely valuable to the organization of MUNCH. As well as President of the General Assembly with Abda, Philippe will be taking on the role of Head Chair of the Human Rights Council.
Abda Obeid
President of General Assembly
Although she only joined us in September 2008, Abda has already had a huge influence on the organisation of MUNCH. Several years ago Abda appeared as a Guest Chair in the Middle East Committee. This year she is back in Middle East as Head Chair, and she is working alongside Philippe as President of General Assembly.
Ema Griffiths
Head of Administration
Her seemingly infinte efficiency is what makes Ema such a valuable asset to MUNCH. Moving up from the position of Deputy Head of Secretariat, Ema has an impressive amount of experience both back of house and in debating. Ema will be overseeing all the preparation of the conference along with George Bell, our other Head of Admin. If you have any queries regarding the organisation side of MUNCH 9, Ema is the person to contact.

George Bell
Head of Administration
Anyone who has ever come across George will know that he is definitely a memorable character. In addition to working along side Ema as Head of Admin, George will be Head Chair of the Ecology and Environment Committe. His organisation skills and good humour are essential to the smooth running of the conference.
Ben Williams
Head of Technology
Ben is in his second year as head of IT. He is a hard working, quiet but determined person who we can all rely upon to get the job done correctly and ahead of time. Ben devotes endless hours to MUN. Infinitely patient, no job is too small for Ben, and he can explain the technology to those of us who struggle to understand !!

Paul Exton-McGuinness
Head of Audio Visual
A man of few words but great sense, our AV team couldn't be in more trusted and reliable hands. Paul's responisbilities will vary from assuring our AV systems can survive hellfire and water (literally last year!) to acting as our resident strong man of the conference. this is his second year of running the Audio-Visual department, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
Jasmine Chan
Head of Press & Publicity
Having served as an impeccable Deputy Head of Press last year we knew the Journalists of CHS would be in no better hands than hers. Jaz has every possible quality we looked for- increadibly hard working, a great talent for her work and the skills to keep her journalists (and even her superiors!) whipped to brilliance. Our own propaganda goddess- Jasmine Chan.
Fielding Ronshaugen
Deputy Head of Press & Publicity
Selected from last year's press team by Jas, Fielding will be second in command this. Despite being fairly new to the world of MUN, Feildings hard work and quality articles have earned her the place she deserved.
Grace Lomas
Head of Hospitality
Grace is the hidden jewel in the MUN crown. She works tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure that your tuck shop gives you the goodies you want and that the catering is orgainised. Once again she has taken on the enourmous task of making sure the party goes well
Simon Falk
Head of Security
At MUNCH 7 Simon proved himself to be the epitome of a security guard: calm, polite and unshakeable. This year we knew him to be the right man for the top job of defending our shores and ensuring all is neatly and tidily prepared. A warning to rowdy delegates though- some say it was actually him behind the water boarding scandal and that he used to be employed by the Chinese for mysterious purposes.
Fran Chaisty
Senior Secretary
Fran blazed a trail last year as a member of the secretariat- a trail that this year led right into the office of senior secretary! She keeps us going with her good humour and efficiency and we couldn't be in safer hands with her helping to lead our secretariat
Sophie Johnson & Ellie O'Sullivan
Head Secretaries of General Assembly
We all appreiated the calm and efficient help that Ellie and Sophie gave at MUNCH 8, and we are very pleased that they are working hard on the team again this year.
Rebecca Jackson and Juliet Booth
Senior Secretaries
Every conference needs organised and hard working helpers for the Secretariat. We are very lucky that Rebecca and Juliet are amazingly efficient and get things done in the shortest possible time. We are delighted to welcome them as our Senior Secretaries.
Lucy Daniels
Official Photographer
Armed with an expensive looking camera and an eye for that Pullitser prize winning shot, Lucy seemed like the ideal person for the job of photographer. A relatively new position, Lucy will only be the second person to take this position at MUNCH.
Mr. Jones
AV Technician
Quiet, calm, and he always says, "Yes, it can be done". Mr. Jones is an invaluable addition to the technical team - we can all relax when he is around. How he remembers all our requests, and gets everything sorted out amazes us all !!
Mr. Chambers
A-V Co-ordinator
Mr. Chambers has been with MUNCH from the start, and it's safe to say that without him next to nothing would work. With more technical expertise than a robot, and more connections than the mafia, Mr. Chambers is the indispensable mastermind behind the technical crew.
Mr. Chambers
Technical Co-ordinator
Yes, there are two of them, but this one spends most of his time sorting out all our computer problems. We are very grateful for his help.
Mr. Parkin
We are delighted that Mr Parkin joined the team last year, and that he is still with us for MUNCH 8. Following the great success of the press at MUNCH 7, Mr Parkin will oversee and encourage this year's team. His linguistic skills are invaluable and MUNCH's Press and Publicity team will certainly benefit from his expertise. So, expect lots of fascinating articles and cryptic clues to liven up your news releases.
Mrs. Cleary
Mrs Cleary proved a huge hit with visiting advisers at MUNCH 6 and 7. We are glad that she will be serving her extra strong coffee and looking after the comfort of all who enjoy the facilities of Staff House during MUNCH 8. Mrs Cleary will also be lending a hand in the tuck shop.
Mrs. Myers
Deputy Conference Director
Mrs Myers is one of our superb MUN advisors. Already a regular member of the organising committee, at MUNCH 8 she will continue her hard work as Deputy Conference Director, and she will assist everyone with every aspect of MUN and offer her valued advice and help wherever she can. We all appreciate Mrs Myers work and time; She is one of the important, and often unseen people who make this conference work, and most importantly her calm, unflappable approach to MUNCH keeps Mrs Evans sane.
Mrs. Evans
Conference Director
Mrs Evans is the hidden force behind MUNCH. With out her utterly priceless work, help, knowledge and guidance MUNCH would not continue; There would have been no MUNCH 7, there would be no MUNCH 8, or MUNCH 9, no MUN trips and nothing for us MUNers to do with our lives ... Thankfully though, Mrs Evans dedicates untold amounts of time and energy to making Cheadle Hulme a respected and accomplished MUN school and a suitable venue for Model United Nations. Every single person involved in MUN and MUNCH, from the ground up, owes Mrs Evans a huge thank you. It is her dedication to making things happen that has brought MUNCH forward and ensured CHS's continued success at MUN. I know, personally, having worked closely with her in committee and at other conferences, her contribution to MUN and MUNCH is invaluable. We all thank her genuinely for her outstanding work and passion, her energy and her commitment to Model United Nations, and wish her the easiest time possible as the big day approaches.
This year's MUNCH director; the exceptional Mrs Evans.
